Laboratory calculators
For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
One conversion used when a laboratory records what is in a vessel: the concentration of a solution made from a lyophilised mass and a volume of diluent. The figure is arithmetic computed in the browser from the figures entered. Nothing is stored, nothing is sent, and no value is added to an order.
Lyophilised mass and diluent volume
The figure is mass divided by volume. It states the concentration of the solution in the vessel and nothing further; it is not a statement about any quantity taken from that vessel.
Calculated concentration
5.000mg/mL
5 000µg/mL
10.00 mg in 2.00 mL. The two figures are the same quantity in different units — 1 mg/mL is 1 000 µg/mL.
