About Dohrna
A research-reagent supplier built on one idea: every claim a catalogue makes should arrive with its evidence attached.
The name
Dohrna takes its name from Turritopsis dohrnii — the immortal jellyfish, the only animal known to grow young again. The mark on this site is drawn from that animal's luminous interior: a chain of linked spheres — the shape of a peptide, which is literally a chain of amino acids.
The story stays in the imagery. The text on this site keeps to what can be shown on paper — that is a deliberate rule, not a lack of imagination.
What Dohrna is
Dohrna is the trading name of Dohrna Research Supplies Limited, a company registered in Malta (no. C 116978), supplying laboratory reagents for in vitro research. The catalogue currently offers 31 lines, organised by compound class — by what the molecules are, never by application or outcome.
The operating principle is documentation first. Every unit ships with a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis issued by an independent ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory, retrievable by the lot number on the label, and a 16-section Safety Data Sheet in an official language of the destination Member State. Where a value has not yet been determined — a purity specification awaiting the laboratory, a classification awaiting assessment — the page says so plainly rather than printing a plausible number. A figure that cannot be evidenced is not published. That is the whole system.
Where the company is, and where the products are
Three places appear on this site, and each has one job. Dohrna Research Supplies Limited is the merchant and the contracting party: a company registered in Malta, registered office 4th Floor Kingsway Palace, Triq ir-Repubblika, Valletta VLT 1115, and the name that appears on every order, invoice and legal document. The products are made and tested in the United States and dispatched to United States delivery addresses from there — the manufacturing facility and the fulfilment route are described on the shipping page and in the delivery policy. Customer support is by email at support@dohrna.com, answered within two business days; a customer-support telephone line is listed on the contact page.
Where it is going
The build order ahead, stated as plans rather than promises: card payment through a named acquirer, with the order and documentation model already shaped for acquirer scrutiny; per-lot analytical records published to each product page as laboratories return them; and a growing set of laboratory tools alongside the calculators already published.
Questions about the company are answered by a person at support@dohrna.com, within two business days.
